How to Stay Positive and Motivate Yourself

Da li biste rekli za sebe da ste pozitivna osoba? Ja sam oduvek bila vrlo pozitivna i vesela osoba, a poslednjih par godina se posebno trudim da takva i ostanem. Dajem sve od sebe da ostanem smirena u stresnim situacijama, da uvek gledam stvari sa pozitivne strane i izvlačim najbolje iz svega. Ipak, ponekad se i meni dešava da padnem, naročito kada me obaveze savladaju, i tada moram brzo da nabacim nazad svoje ružičaste naočare. Smatram da je ključno za rešavanje svake situacije u kojoj se nađete prići joj sa pozitivnim stavom. Poslednjih par meseci trudim se da živim život pozitivnije i da svakodnevno motivišem sebe za novi dan, stoga sam odlučila da neke svoje savete podelim sa vama kako biste i vi ostali pozitivni u svakoj situaciji.

Would you say that you are a positive person? I have always been very positive and cheerful person, but the last few years, particularly work hard on keeping it so. I do my best to stay calm in stressful situations, always looking on the positive side and look for the best in everything. However, sometimes it happens to me to fall down, and then I quickly throw my rose-colored glasses back on. I believe that the key to solving any situation is a positive approach. The last few months I try to live my life positively and motivate myself every day, so I decided to share some of my tips with you to help you remain positive in every situation.

1. Zahvalite se
Ovo će vam sigurno zvučati glupo, ali verujte mi ovo je prva stvar koju ja uradim kada se probudim ujutru. Zahvalim se za sve što imam, što sam zdrava i okružena ljudima koje volim. Izuzetno je važno setiti se ovoga kada ste tužni ili u lošoj situaciji, jer već dok nabrajate sve za šta ste zahvalni shvatićete koliko ste u stvari srećni i koliko je taj trenutan problem glupa i prolazna stvar.

2. Slavite svoje uspehe
Čak i one najmanje! Uvek pohvalite sebe kada uradite nešto dobro. Podrazumeva se da ćete proslaviti svoju maturu ili bilo koji drugi veći uspeh, ali život se sastoji od malih pobeda. Podsetite sebe svaki dan na to.

1. Be Thankful
This may sound stupid, but believe me this is the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning. I thank the universe for everything I have, that I am healthy and surrounded by people I love. It is important to remember this when you are sad or in a bad situation, because saying you are grateful will make you realize how much you are actually happy.

2. Celebrate your successes

Even the smallest ones! Always praise yourself when you do something good. It goes without saying that you will celebrate your graduation or any other major success, but life consists of small victories. Remind yourself every day how good you are.

3. Okružite se pozitivnim ljudima
Ne moram posebno da naglašavam koliko nam podrška i ljubav dragih osoba pomaže u svakoj situaciji, ali isto tako negativnost nekih ljudi u okruženju može da nam uništi dan i istroši svu našu pozitivnu energiju. Uvek budite u društvu ljudi koji su pozitivni, koji vas inspirišu i pokreću.

4. Sve se dešava s razlogom
Kada se nešto loše desi najlakše bi bilo da legnete u krevet, pokrijete se preko glave i pravite se da se to ne dešava. Ali, prvi korak ka rešavanju problema je prihvatanje. Ja uvek kažem sebi da se sve dešava s razlogom i ko zna zašto je to dobro.

3. Surround yourself with positive people
I do not have to emphasize how much support and love of my loved ones helps in every situation, but also the negativity of some people in my environment can ruin my day. Always be in the company of people who are positive, who will inspire and motivate you.

4. Everything happens for a reason

When something bad happens the easiest way would be to go to bed, cover over your head with a blanket and pretend it doesn't happen. But the first step to solving a problem is acceptance. I always tell myself that everything happens for a reason.

5. Ugodite sebi
Da biste održali svoj pozitivan stav dugoročno potrebno je truditi se svakodnevno. Ja sam nedavno obećala sebi da ću svaki dan ugoditi sebi nečim i častiti se. Ne treba to da bude ništa krupno niti skupo - dovoljno je kupiti sebi cveće, odvojiti sat vremena za čitanje omiljene knjige, uraditi kućni spa tretman, spavati sat vemena duže...

6. Meditirajte
Nešto što sam počela skoro da praktikujem je meditacija. To su trenuci potpune tišine i mira kada se fokusiram samo na sopstveno disanje. Kažu da meditacijom možete promeniti svoj život. Ja za sada primećujem da me smiruje i da mi prija, pa možda da i vi probate - ne može da škodi :)

5. Treat yourself
To keep your positive attitude in the long run it is necessary to make an effort every day. I have recently promised myself that I will do every day something to please myself. It doesn't need to be anything big nor expensive - it's enough to buy yourself flowers,  for an hour read your favorite book, do home spa treatment, sleep an hour longer etc.

6. Meditate

Something that I started to practice recently is meditation. These are moments of complete tranquility and peace when I focus only on my own breathing. They say that meditation can change your life. So far I noticed that it calms me and that it feels good, so maybe you should also try it - it can't hurt :)

  2. First I have to say I love the camel coat, it's really a beautiful addition to any outfit. Second, keeping positive is important. I've actually not been practicing it as much as I should as you often feel like you are not getting what you want out of life. And while we all know it deep down inside that you'll never ever get all that you want, it's still hard to digest, especially when you work so incredibly hard...but maybe with a more positive outlook, seeing things as enough rather than missing will make you happier.

  4. odlični savjeti! mislim da svima nedostaje pozitive u današnjem vremenu, a najviše na to utječe i okruženje u kojem smo!
